Computer
Due to the rising cost of hardware and especially memory, please visit this link for different options on selecting and purchasing your computer to use with TORO.
Touchscreen Monitor
- HDMI input (the standard on most new monitors).
- 1920x1080 resolution.
- Touchscreen recommended -- not required, but a much better experience.
Wireless Mouse & Keyboard
- Full keyboard with a separate number pad -- vital for the user experience.
- Wireless combo package keeps the workspace clean.
- Each employee gets a 4-digit pin -- a real number pad makes every login and price-edit much faster.
Powered USB Hub
- Powered USB hub for connecting peripherals (scanner, drawer, printer).
- It MUST be a USB Powered Hub -- one that plugs into a power cable, not just a USB splitter.
- You may not need one -- hold off on this purchase until you see how many USB ports your peripherals actually take.
ID & Barcode Scanner
Required for the SMS module, the rewards program, and ID scanning. Do not look for a cheaper model -- we need this exact scanner.
- Honeywell Genesis MK7580 Area-Imaging Scanner.
NOTE: Both PDFs must be scanned to program the scanner to work in TORO -- the Scanner programming PDF and the TURBO scanning PDF.
Receipt Printer
TORO is certified with the Star TSP100III & Star TSP143U. Purchasing on Amazon may be cheaper, but POS Guys provides lifetime support and that is worth it when it comes to printers. TORO does not support hardware issues.

Cash Drawer
Two ways to run a drawer, depending on how much tracking you want.
- Option 1 -- Receipt-printer-triggered. Opens automatically on cash sales. Works great with the Star TSP100III.
- Option 2 -- USB-connected. We are only certified with the VB554A-BL1616. Tracks every open and close and for how long the drawer was open. Sometimes has driver issues with Windows 11.
Barcode Label Printer
Optional. Use this to print barcodes for items that arrive without one. Skip it if you only sell pre-barcoded inventory.
- TSC TE 200 (only certified model).
- If you have a current label printer, we will try to get it to work in TORO, but no promises. You would need to first get Windows to recognize the printer. If you have issues with that, then reach out to the manufacturer.
- We do not support hardware. Printers are hectic, especially label printers. We highly recommend purchasing from POS Guys. They provide lifetime support on all items purchased through them.
