Your TORO Computer
There are three ways to get the computer that runs TORO. Pick the option that fits your store and your budget.
How to choose. Option 1 is the no-hassle route -- we configure and warranty the machine for you. Option 2 lets you buy your own from a short list of computers we have vetted for TORO. Option 3 is bringing a machine you already have, as long as it meets the specs. Not sure? The notes on each option below will steer you.

Option A

- Core i5-1135G7 (#4 of the options, bare minimum)
- Memory
- 16GB RAM (Prefer 32, but 16 will suffice. Can upgrade later if needed)
Use this if your store does under 500K a year and you want to save money. This is the slowest version we recommend for TORO. It will work just fine, but don’t expect TORO to be blazing fast.
Store scenario: If you get this computer, and it is moving slow, then the first upgrade is getting the memory to 32GB.

- Memory
- 16GB (Prefer 32, but 16 will suffice. Can upgrade later if needed)
Store scenario: Your store does over 500K a year and you need something that will not be a bottleneck. But you only have 1 POS station. You can have a back office, but you know it might slow down both machines if doing heavy reporting.

Store scenario: Your store does over 500K and you have more than 1 POS station. Or you don’t want the backoffice computer slowing down the system. This one is the same as Option B, but has 32GB of RAM already installed.

Store scenario: You have enough space for a small tower and want a future proof computer. This computer is 2.5 times faster than the others listed.
Option 3 -- Bring your own computer.
Pros
- Might save some money.
Cons
- Whatever warranty you get is on you -- we cannot support the hardware.
- If TORO runs slow on your machine, we cannot assist you. It is most likely hardware related.
- Read the specs below and match them as closely as possible.
Processor check
Open the single-CPU comparison tool and enter Intel Core i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz, then enter your processor and compare. Scroll down and look at the orange number -- your processor must be faster than this one. You can also add Core i5-1340P to compare; ideally your machine is as fast as the i5-1340P.
Memory check
16GB minimum. Ideal is 32GB.
Storage check
Hard drive must be an SSD at minimum. If you want a faster TORO, an NVMe drive is recommended.

Windows 11 Pro
Windows version is flexible, but 11 Pro is recommended for your business.
